In 1993 Cesare Sanavio had his own ideas to realise. With more than 50 years of experience in designing and manufacturing tube amplifiers and the special technology of designing output transformers make him a real encyclopaedia of data and information.

That is how Mastersound began its activity in 1994 in a small workshop in the outskirts of Vicenza.

Tube amplifiers produced in that workshop were sent all over the world. The historic model 52b Monoblock was manufactured there, and was even defined by Paris Match as the "ROLLS-ROYCE" of amplifiers.

A few years later, Mastersound moved in to the new factory in Creazzo, near Vicenza, in a larger and more beautiful building. Here Mastersound created an essential listening room to test our amplifiers and a workshop completely devoted to the design and manufacture of our output transformers, the key to the performance of amplifiers.
