The Concert Grand Midi joins The Concert Grand at the top of the Lumley Lampros Series of loudspeakers, designed to reproduce the true dynamic scale of a live concert, whether it is with a full Symphony Orchestra, a Heavy Rock Band, or to the ambiance and intimacy of a small acoustic set.

Much of the black art of loudspeaker design is in the building of the cabinet, understanding cabinet resonance’s, controlling internal standing waves, vibrations and diffractions, are all part of the unseen elements that can make or break a great design.

All the speakers in the range use reflex ported cabinets, a range of foam bungs are provided, to control the bass reflex ports output, by offering changes to the port output alignment by inserting different density of bung configurations into the port allows for fine in-room tuning.

Located on the rear panel are three special hardwired plug-in jumpers. These jumpers are wired directly to the super tweeters, tweeters, and mid-range crossover input, to provide a flexible control to the output levels from the ribbon tweeters and the mid-range domed drivers. By offering output level changes of (+) or (–) to both the ribbons and domed mid-range output, it allows the listener to finely balance the speakers to their own ear, room, and system.
